Baby Dedication
Partnering with Parents to Raise World Changers
One of the things you will hear us say is: “We don’t babysit kids, we invest in world changers!”
Our church isn’t here to replace the influence of parents, but to partner with them in raising kids to follow Jesus.
Genesis 2 teaches that God started marriage between a man and a woman, Adam and Eve, making them the first parents. One of the blessings God gives parents is children.
Psalm 127 says: “Children are a gift from the Lord.”
Along with the blessing of children, comes the responsibility to raise them to love and follow Jesus.
Baby dedication is a time for parents to publicly promise to do this in front of their church, and for the church to commit to partner with them.
A few questions to ask yourself before taking this step:
Am I a part of a God-honoring marriage based on Genesis 2?
Am I a single parent who has a relationship with Jesus and is seeking to honor him with my life?
Do I and my husband or I and my wife have a clear testimony of following Jesus?
Are we/I ready to stand before our/my church and commit to raise our/my child to honor and follow Jesus?
