At Citywalk, we value and prioritize the safety of every child in our care. To serve in our children’s ministry, complete the steps below.
Step 1: Complete the Next-Gen Team Application
This application gets your contact info into our church database and allows you to answer some initial questions our team has for every team member.
Step 2: Accept Child Protection Policy
All Next-Gen Team Members must read and accept the Citywalk Child Protection Policy.
Step 3: Background Check
The form below gives Citywalk permission to run a criminal background check on each applicant. Citywalk pays for all background checks, so you don’t have to worry about the cost. Most team members will be required to submit to a LiveScan background check. LiveScan information will be emailed to the applicant.
Step 4: Interview
A Next-Gen Leader will contact you to conduct a brief interview to review the answers to your application and ensure you are a good fit for our team.
Step 5: Training
You’re almost there! All Next-Gen Team Members must complete California Mandated Reporter/Child Abuse training as defined in the Citywalk Child Protection Policy. We will send you a login and instruction sheet regarding how to complete this training.
All team members must also review 3 internal training videos, which are linked below. The total time to watch all 3 videos is less than 15 minutes.
Step 6: Shadow a Team Member
Once the previous 5 steps are completed, you are ready to go train in-person with our existing Next-Gen Team!
A Next-Gen leader will coordinate this with you.
