Unfiltered Jesus
We’ve got Jesus all wrong. Plenty of people know a lot about him, but few actually know him. He has been misunderstood, misinterpreted, and for centuries, his message misused; both by those who claim to be his followers and skeptics alike. Jesus has been filtered through the lens of church backgrounds, political agendas, religious movements, and our own preconceived notions. Consequently, crowds of people are following someone they don’t even know and worse, an entire generation seems to be walking away from a Jesus that never even existed. In this series, we will pull back the filters that have been put on Jesus and discover the man who has been waiting for you all along.
Bless this Home
We all want a happy, healthy home, but the truth is, most of us just can’t seem to create one on our own. So we begin to wonder, does God even want us to have a blessed home? In this series we look into what it means to create a blessed home, the kind that God wants for us, whether you’re a single parent, a grandparent, married without kids or a student. If you live in any sort of “home,” this series is for you.
easter
Pastor Chris explores the Easter story, and how the resurrection changes everything.
skeptic
Regardless if you consider yourself a Jesus-follower, a skeptic or an atheist, we know that Religion tends to bring with it a fair share of questions. The Church hasn’t always been a safe and welcoming place for those who have reservations and questions. In this series, we tear down the idea that questions and doubts are the enemy, and instead lean in to see how skepticism and questioning can actually increase our faith.
The age of heroes
Who doesn’t love a good hero story? In this series, we are diving into heroes of the Bible, looking closely at their stories and what exactly makes them so heroic. You might just find that these heroes aren’t as perfect as they seem and rely on something bigger than themselves to create the perfect hero story.
forward
What does it take to move FORWARD as an individual, a family and a church body? This series will be taking an in-depth look at Philippians, a letter Paul wrote to the church in Philippi. Although the letter was penned nearly 2000 years ago, its contents are as helpful and life-changing today as they were in the past.
Everyone needs encouragement
Pastor of Families, Chris Dowdy, shares Paul’s vision for how we should support each other and spread hope.
Heart detox
Most of us have learned to keep close tabs on our words and behavior using sophisticated filters. Unfortunately, every once in a while our filter breaks down and we say or do something that we regret. While behavior is important it was not Jesus’s priority when he came to earth. In this series we discover that maybe Jesus wanted more than transformed behavior; maybe he wants to transform our hearts.
BAPTISM
We were so excited to have baptisms and communion for the first time on September 29th! Listen as Pastor Chris shares about the significance of these public symbols.
COMMUNITY
We believe that we are better together, and that life change happens in circles rather than rows.
More Than a Hashtag
The world we live in is filled with injustices and tragedies, you can’t escape it. In the age of social media its easy to post hashtags to raise awareness, but what if we could get to a problem before the hashtag, what if we stepped out and actually did something to fight these injustices?
SAYING THANK YOU
Family Pastor, Chris Dowdy, presents a message about being thankful.
